Putting principles into practice
A privately-owned, financially independent company,
serving only the best interests of our clients, we are distinguished not just by an absolute commitment to quality in service and delivery,
but by a long-term approach to our growth strategy, combined with strongly held principles about the need for corporate social and environmental
responsibility.
All the timber we use comes from sustainable and responsibly-harvested sources, while we continue to take proactive measures to address our
carbon footprint through the practice of energy efficiency in our daily operations, and specifically in the creation of the Woodwise Recycling initiative.
We set up the Woodwise scheme as an independent, non-profit initiative by funding the purchase and installation of an industrial timber shredder
to recycle both our own waste timber and that of other
partner companies and organisations. The significant quantity of woodchip fuel produced is a carbon-neutral energy
source that is provided free of charge to local schools and public facilities for use in biomass boilers. Learn more at www.woodwiserecycling.co.uk
Our commitment to Health & Safety is paramount in all our operations. We
employ a full-time Health & Safety officer
to ensure absolute compliance, are members of Site Safe UK, and all employees
are required to hold a current CSCS card that is applicable to their trade or profession.
Investing in our future
We are unusual among contemporary fit-out companies in that we still maintain, and believe in the value of, an active apprenticeship programme, providing school-leavers
with an opportunity to acquire trade skills in a supportive environment, as well as offering retraining opportunities to individuals seeking a career change. This policy is
instrumental in developing and strengthening the pool of skilled staff we have to effectively resource our projects – reassuring for our clients, as our in-house resourcing
and manufacturing capability ensures consistency and quality control, as well as contributing to timely project outcomes.
